At Mizpah Foundation, empowerment isn’t just about providing aid — it’s about creating opportunities for people to thrive on their own. Through our Empowerment Through Sustainability Program, we build lasting community infrastructure that improves livelihoods, strengthens local resilience, and promotes long-term development. From clean water projects to sustainable mission centers, every initiative is designed to uplift entire regions, not just individuals.
One of our most transformative projects is the Community Borehole Initiative, which provides free, clean, and accessible water to the communities surrounding the Mizpah Mara Mission Centre in Talek, Maasai Mara. Before this project, families — especially women and children — walked miles each day to fetch unsafe water. Today, the borehole offers a life-giving resource right at their doorstep, improving health, sanitation, and agriculture. Access to clean water has also reduced school absenteeism, as children no longer spend hours collecting water instead of learning.
Beyond water, Mizpah Foundation drives sustainability through the Mizpah Mara Camp — a social enterprise designed to support the mission’s operations. The camp provides accommodation for local and international partners, generating income that directly funds education, healthcare, and rescue programs. It also creates jobs and training opportunities for the Maasai community, empowering families with skills in hospitality, management, and environmental conservation.
True empowerment is about giving communities ownership of their progress. That’s why our programs focus on local leadership, environmental stewardship, and self-reliance. With your support, Mizpah Foundation continues to create sustainable solutions that don’t just change lives — they transform generations. Together, we can keep building a Kenya where clean water, education, and opportunity flow freely for all.
