Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and ethical Accountant to join our administrative and finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing budgets, and ensuring full compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial transactions and ledgers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes across all Mizpah programs.
Monitor fund allocations, donor reporting, and project expenditure.
Manage bank reconciliations, petty cash, and payment schedules.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, audit standards, and organizational financial policies.
Collaborate with program leads to track and analyze financial performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (K) or equivalent professional certification is required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in NGO or donor-funded financial management.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
